Dear Mr. Krugman,
I am starting to read The Conscience of a Liberal, and it occurred to me that one major weapon in the arsenal of the conservatives is their ability to use the 30-second sound-bite and, also, the fact that most Americans are in a hurry and, therefore, get too much of their news from these 30-second sound-bites. The availability of vast sums of money for TV ads also seems to feed this phenomenon. The conservatives seem to have developed this into an art-form. The liberal message, being more complicated, is harder to fit into 30 seconds.
I would be interested to hear your opinion on this subject.
Thanks for reading this,
Aaron Krosnick
