DRM Update and Copyright Protection in the Market

IDPF Digital Book 2010 LogoCopyright protection utilizing DRM remains a requirement for many publishers, authors, and categories for both fiction and non-fiction eBook materials. On the other end of the spectrum publishers and authors are also experiencing market growth and success by offering DRM-free titles. This session provides an update on new business models and issues involving copyright protection for digital book titles in the channels.

EPUB Enhanced, Interactive & Connected

Publishers and developers are integrating into EPUB titles audio, video, animation, and a growing array of interactive educational content. This session includes updates to the EPUB standard and how readers will interact with eBooks utilized enhancements that take titles far beyond what print could ever offer.
